CHECKLIST: EV BUYERS GUIDE ✅

Used EVs are coming your way, at more affordable pricing. Before you buy- check off this list!

✅ Always:
-Make sure the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) matches on the vehicle and paperwork.
-Make sure it has a clean title
-Check out the CARFAX (or equivalent)

✅ Exterior:
-Dents
-Scratches
-Rust or underbody damage
-Check all glass and make sure windows are operational
-Check doors, trunk, frunk and charge port to ensure proper opening and closing
-Make sure all cameras are functional
-Check wipers & Turn signals
-Brake responsiveness and noise
-Check tire tread, how they wear, if they fit your climate and check for stem covers
-Ensure that it can charge properly and that any connectors or cables are in working order
**Plug-in Hybrids also have an ICE engine to check out

✅ Interior:
– Confirm mileage
-Check Heads Up Display if applicable
-Check the interior for wear and tear, particularly on the seats and dashboard.
-Inspect Seats- make sure the adjustments work, and if applicable heat/ac cooled seats
-Inspect seatbelts
-Check Heat/ AC
-Horn
-Mirrors/ folding
-Visors
-Lights
-Wipers
-Check sound system
-Ensure wireless phone charger works if provided
-Check adjustable seats and/ or heated seats if applicable.
-Listen for noises in the cabin.
-Check heated steering wheel
-Check to make sure you have all of the specs ordered with vehicle
-Check for musty odors

✅ Battery:
-Check Warranty or if it has an extended warranty
-Check capacity
-Check state of battery health (companies like — can help you with battery health
-Check for signs of degradation
-Ask how it was typically charged if possible
-Ask it it was in an extreme climate
-Check the health of the 12 Volt

✅ Tech:
-Make sure User Interface is clear and operates properly
-Be sure there aren’t any error codes or recalls
-Check the latest software
-Be aware of the installed hardware. Know what can be updated.
-Check all cameras
-Check navigation
-Confirm voice command
-Confirm Connectivity
-Confirm that specs match the VIN
-Make sure all keys/ alternate ways to operate vehicle are working. (Such as a keycard or an app)
-Make sure heads up display operates if applicable
-Check all safety assist functions, such as autopilot/ cruise control/ lane assist or Full Self Driving
-Check that all USB outlets & 12 volt DC receptacles have power

✅ -Important:
-Check out where your vehicle can be serviced conveniently
-Check if replacement parts are available locally- these can be very expensive and hard to come by.
-If you can’t inspect in person, ask the seller to shoot a video or provide a FaceTime walk around and show you these important details.
