Tesla is offering a Transfer Program that allows eligible owners to receive a ONE TIME transfer of  Full Self Driving capability on any new Tesla vehicle delivered between July 20, 2023, and September 30, 2023, when they forfeit the feature on their current Tesla vehicle. This transfer is available if qualified.

This program comes as a token of appreciation to loyal Tesla owners who have shown unwavering support and dedication to sustainable transportation. Many Tesla Owners that signed up and paid for FSD years ago may want the opportunity to purchase a new Tesla; but could feel locked in due to their initial investment in FSD as it previously only transferred with the VEHICLE.  Here’s what you need to know about this new Tesla FSD Transfer Program:

Eligibility and Program Details

To participate in this exciting opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

• Legal Ownership: You must be the legal and registered owner of a Tesla vehicle that currently has Full Self Driving capability included at the time of delivery of the new Tesla vehicle.
• No Pending Cancellation or Buyback Request: Your vehicle cannot be the subject of a pending cancellation or buyback request to be eligible for the program.

EMEA Eligibility: For Tesla owners in the EMEA region, please note that those on an Operational Lease with third-party Lease and Fleet Management companies are ineligible unless they first purchase the vehicle from the leasing company.

Taking Delivery of the New Tesla

To fully benefit from the Transfer Program, ensure that you take delivery of your new titled Tesla vehicle between July 20, 2023, and September 30, 2023.

Forfeiture of Full Self Driving Capability

To participate in the program, you must accept the forfeiture of the Full Self Driving capability on your current Tesla vehicle. This will pave the way for you to enjoy the same capability on your new Tesla.

Alternate Option: Trade-In

If transferring the Full Self Driving capability is not your preference, Tesla offers an alternate option. You can choose to trade-in your current Tesla vehicle altogether directly with Tesla when purchasing your new one. During this process, Tesla will remove the Full Self Driving capability from your current vehicle up to one week before your scheduled delivery day for the new Tesla. Please note that your current vehicle will automatically reboot for a few minutes after being put in park during this transition.

Important Notes

• The Full Self Driving capability can only be transferred once, and it cannot be transferred to another vehicle or another person, even if the vehicle is privately sold.
• The Transfer Program offer cannot be combined with any other promotion and is not redeemable for cash.
• Tesla reserves the right to change, modify, or terminate this offer at any time without prior notice.
• The forfeiture of Full Self Driving capability on your current vehicle is non-reversible after you take delivery of the new Tesla vehicle, or if Tesla removes Full Self Driving capability from your current vehicle, whichever occurs first. This remains non-reversible even if you cancel or reverse your purchase after taking delivery.
• Used vehicles and vehicles for commercial purposes are not eligible for this program.
• Tesla may remove the Full Self Driving capability from your new vehicle if it determines in good faith that you have breached any of these terms or made any misrepresentations about Full Self Driving on your current vehicle.
