Tesla Updates from 10/10 We, Robot Event

* Robotaxi Unveiling: Yesterday, Tesla introduced the “Cybercab,” a dedicated autonomous vehicle without steering wheels or pedals, aimed at revolutionizing ride-sharing with its futuristic design.
* Event Highlights: The event, called “We, Robot,” showcased not just the Cybercab but also hinted at a larger vehicle, the “Robovan,” for cargo or larger groups, though with no set release date. (Looks super Art Deco)
* Pricing and Availability: Elon Musk mentioned that the Cybercab would be priced below $30,000, with plans for high-volume production. However, full commercial availability might not be until 2026 or later due to technological and regulatory challenges.
* Technology: The vehicles will use only cameras for navigation, ditching radar and lidar, and aim for a cost as low as $0.20 per mile for users. Additionally, induction charging is planned- doing away with charging cables.
* Future possibilities: Tesla plans to allow owners to add their vehicles to a Tesla ride-hailing app, potentially turning personal vehicles into income sources when not in use.
* Future Projections: FSD – FULL SELF DRIVING (unsupervised) is expected to be released next year, starting in California and Texas. Despite Telsa’s optimism about timelines, delays are expected by 2 weeks.

Are you into it?

Go electric ✌️
