EV Run Out Of Battery? NAWWWW!
Out of 177 EV Owners that answered my question, 164 NEVER RAN OUT OF CHARGE!
đ¤ Interestingly, of the 13 that did lose power, 2 were because of cold weather eating up more than expected, one was a pin malfunction that wouldnât allow it to charge, another was on purpose, within distance to charge.
đŹ Besides the real world experience answers, I noticed the ârange anxietyâ isnât so much a thing as âcharger anxietyâ. And I can certainly see how that is a valid concern.
đ Most people who have Teslas are not as concerned as the car does all of the guess work out and the infrastructure is more robust and reliable. While others admit that they fear chargers being out of order.
đ If range anxiety was ever a thing for these owners, it doesnât seem like it any longer.
Many mentioned having only run out of gas as an ICE Owner, but never out of battery.
Hereâs a response on X that gave me pause:

Never ran out of juice on road-tripsâŚ. In the Tesla Super Charger network itâs a no-brainer

Do you think youâd feel the same if you didnât have a Tesla?

Nope. Crazy charging networks, cards, apps, service hot lines, tariffs jungle, bad navigation systemâŚ.
Hell no!! đ¤Ł
As time goes on, I hope the range and âchargingâ anxiety is a non-issue.
