  1. GM and Samsung’s EV Battery Investment: General Motors (GM) and Samsung SDI are planning a joint venture to build an electric vehicle battery cell plant in New Carlisle, Indiana. The plant, which represents an investment of over $3 billion, is expected to play a pivotal role in GM’s transition to electric vehicles.
