EVA England asked Twitter what you wish you knew about your EV before you bought it.  Here are some answers from owners overseas and in the States:

The top positive answer was about how little they actually used public charging.  Charging at home or at the job does the trick for most.

Second up: EVs offer a pleasurable driving experience, especially on long road trips

Followed by: How much $ is saved, How fun they are to drive and if they knew all of this – they would have gotten one sooner.

Alternatively, some found that those who use the public charging find the infrastructure lacking.

There are many issues with non-Tesla chargers.

Charger’s speed is only a guide not a guarantee (meaning that your charge time could be longer than expected)

The range indicated isn’t real-world- it depends on so many factors, or range isn’t sufficient for needs

Finally, one guy said they are boring to drive 😳

Here’s a little breakdown of quotes with the number of times listed next to it:

Pros:

👍 How great it is as I would have gotten one sooner. X2

👍 Instant torque X2

👍 Fun X3

👍 How much easier it is to live with day to day.

👍 How little I actually need to use public charging X7

👍 *how much* money I save X3

👍 How much more relaxing it is to drive long distances in X4

👍 Storage space

👍 Defrost/cool from anywhere

👍 The EV Community

 Cons:

👎 charging infrastructure needs to catch up with sales and quickly.

👎 Non- Tesla chargers

👎 That the charger’s speed is a guide only not a guarantee.

👎 WLTP based on perfect driving conditions

👎 How boring they are to drive

👎 Range not sufficient for needs

Go electric ✌️
