• If flooded by saltwater, realize it is conductive and corrosive, it can lead to severe electrical and battery damage that pose a fire risk 
• While freshwater may not have a more immediate reaction, there is still a risk of battery malfunction and electrical shorts
• It is recommended to keep a flooded EV away from buildings or other flammable structures due to the risk of fire

• Salt Water in gas vehicles can also cause corrosion and lead to short circuits, electrical failures, engine seizing, fuel leaks or fires
• Freshwater flooding also affects the engine, fuel system, electrical systems and other critical components 
• There is a risk of fuel leaks or fuel vapors after flooding that could lead to fire if ignition source nearby

🚨 No matter the type of vehicle

• Consider having the vehicle professionally inspected to see if there is any electrical or battery damage before driving
• Be mindful of issues on the interior such as damage to any gauges or other electric components, and concerns like mold
• Post water damage, there is also the threat of rust 
• Be aware that any flooded vehicle can have electrical issues further down the line
