Last year I wrote about Norway’s lead (per capita) in EV adoption. At the time, it was reported that EVs were 54% of new vehicle sales in 2020.

2021 proved even more impressive as the percentage climbed to 65%!

The The Ministry of Transport currently offers incentives that have encouraged the EV adoption including:
*Tax Credits
*No Purchase/ Import taxes
*No 25% tax and heavy registration fee (required for ICEs)
*Parking, Toll & Ferry Discounts

After 2022, these incentives will be revisited & revised

The aim of this shift is to put less vehicles on the road. In Urban areas, they want to encourage:
*Walking
*Cycling
*Public Transport Transportation

Norway is aiming for all new cars and Vans to be electric in 2025.

Also- I heard Norway now has the world’s fastest charger- The Terra 360. Max output of 360kW and can charge 100km of range in just three minutes! Norway offers Countrywide Government-installed, free charging stations.

Go electric ✌🏼
