Northvolt, a Swedish battery maker, just scored a massive $5 billion green loan to expand their gigafactory and Revolt Ett recycling plant in northern Sweden. This is actually the largest green loan in Europe!
They’re planning to use the funds to boost cathode production and cell manufacturing and ramp up their recycling efforts.
The company has some big-name clients like BMW, Volvo Car, and Volkswagen, so it’s no wonder they’re looking to grow. It’s great to see a company focusing on sustainability and recycling in the battery industry.
