“We’ve owned our Volkswagen ID4 for almost three years. A few thoughts but first, the specs. 

2021 ID4 Pro S
Rear wheel drive
82kwh battery pack
250 mile range 

The good: 

The vehicle is comfortable and extremely easy to live with as your daily driver. The driving position is high with good visibility throughout the vehicle. The turning radius is honestly pretty incredible and makes parking easy especially with parking sensors. 

Favorite features are the retractable sun shade, massing seats, soft suspension and inclusion of wireless Apple CarPlay. Additionally the charge curve isn’t too bad and doesn’t fall off a cliff like some vehicles do. 

The bad:

The UI and overall software isn’t great and needs a lot of improvements. It’s simply slow and not the most intuitive.  The car isn’t very quick but given the use case for the vehicle it doesn’t really need to be. 

Final thoughts:

Overall we’ve been extremely happy with the vehicle and it is our go to vehicle on the weekends over my Model Y.”

(Added later):”Two more thoughts: Interior passenger space is quite large however the cargo space is a bit lacking. I would like to see them improve it in the future”.
