Roads that charge your EV as you drive are becoming a reality. Electreon, a company that specializes in developing and implementing Wireless Electric Road Systems (ERS) to wirelessly charge commercial and passenger electric vehicles while driving, is making this happen.  

With the aim of promoting global electrification and reducing carbon emissions, Electreon is paving the way for this technology with projects in countries like Sweden, Germany, Italy, Israel and the US.

Embedded coils in the road create an electromagnetic field that transfers energy to a receiver on the vehicle. EVs can charge while in motion, reducing the need for large batteries and frequent stops at charging stations.
