What if you were using Smart Summon and hit something?

According to the Tesla Model Y Owner’s Manual, the responsibility falls on the driver to use Smart Summon safely and responsibly. (So that means YOU! You are responsible!!)

But don’t be discouraged from using this cool feature!

Smart Summon is a beta feature that allows you to move your Tesla to a desired location or to your location using your phone’s GPS as a target destination.

It’s a great tool for maneuvering your car out of tight parking spots, around corners, and even through puddles.

Be aware that it should only be used on private property, like parking lots and driveways where the surrounding area is familiar and predictable. Using it on public roads is a big ‘ol  no-go.

Remember- Smart Summon is still in beta, so you need to stay alert and ready to take action at any time. It may not stop for all objects and traffic, so stay prepared and use it as intended.

Keep your cameras and sensors clean because Smart Summon depends on sensors, cameras, and a strong GPS signal and make sure you’re on a paved road with good connectivity.

Oh, and keep a clear line of sight between you and your vehicle and be ready to stop it at any time by releasing the button on the mobile app. With all these precautions in mind, you’ll be able to use Smart Summon safely and in style.

Go electric ✌🏼
