Ford To Adopt NACS Charging! (NACS: North America Charging Standard designed by Tesla)

1. Ford will have a healthier fast-charging infrastructure after an agreement with Tesla.

2. Currently, Ford’s BlueOval has 10K DC Fast-chargers, Tesla has 12K opening up to other EVs (*does not include the entirety of Tesla’s infrastructure); this agreement together will make them the largest network in the US & Canada.

3. A Tesla-made adapter will will allow Fords’s F-150 Lightning, Mach-E and their E-transits port access to Tesla’s system. Ford currently uses a CCS (Combined Charging System).

4. Look for the access to Tesla’s charging network Spring 2024.

5. Ford’s future Gen EVs will be manufactured with NACS ports beginning in 2025- negating the need for an adapter. (These are much smaller and lighter than CCS)

This is great news for people who want a large, reliable, efficient and easy to use network.

Go electric ✌🏼
