The Tesla Semi Delivery Event on 12/1 in Nevada showed that the Semi can complete 500 miles on a single charge, while being just shy of 82K Lbs fully loaded.

Tesla’s reasons for building an Electric Semi were illuminated by the facts that Semi trucks reportedly comprise 1% of US Vehicles, but they account for 20% of Emissions and 36% of Particulate Emissions.

In addition to improvement of air quality and health, this quiet beast is the most badass, fastest to accelerate and brake of any rig on the road. This EV has 3x the power of any diesel semi today. With auto clutch (which requires no driver input) the vehicle doesn’t experience lagging or jerking movements and handles grades and speed with ease.

It’s Tri-Motor power drive unit relies on motors that can fit in your hand and shares the same carbon wrapped sleeves as Models S & X Plaid.

A Diesel Semi’s brakes get too hot and could cause loss of ability to stop. Tesla’s regenerative braking allows for brakes to be cool, while also capturing energy. Additionally, the precision traction control prevents jack-knifing.

This aerodynamic, bullet shaped, efficient semi has centered seating and a spacious interior with a stand-up capable cabin. So many features are one touch, such as the suspension for easy attachment to trailer.

This 1000V powertrain monster necessitated the development for 1 megawatt DC fast charging with immersion cooling tech ( Will be used for Cyber Tucks soon!)
The proven tech shares the Drivetrain unit, Heat pump system, Infotainment system, State of the art Inverters & HVAC systems as what is already in Teslas you see today.

Tesla uses their Semis 24/7 to transport their goods to and from their Sparks, NV and Fremont, CA factories.

Frito Lay had their newly delivered Semi packed with snacks.

Go electric ✌🏼
