A New e-car factory for the U.S!

A spin-off division of VW, the Scout will be the next generation of EV Trucks & Rugged SUVs in the US.

The electric Scout will be built on a new tech platform concept and will allow for new pickup and RUV credibility beyond the current Volkswagen Group portfolio.

– SC Governor Henry McMaster: “The company’s $2 billion investment has the potential to create 4,000 or more permanent jobs. At full capacity, more than 200,000 Scout vehicles may be produced annually at the facility”. SC.GOV

Production is expected to begin by end of 2026.
