What’s The Shortest Charging Time From LA to NYC In An Electric Vehicle? It’s 2:26:48
According to Guinness World Records, a man named Wayne R. Gerdes’ accomplishment is listed as: ‘Shortest charging time to cross the United States in an electric vehicle’. Mr. Gerdes took an epic road trip in a 2022 Porsche Taycan from Los Angeles City Hall to NYC City Hall and ONLY CHARGED for 2:26:48!
He traveled a total of 2,834.5 miles and made 18 Charging stops. Using Electrify America, he was able to get charging speeds of up to 350 kW. (Here’s what’s equally insane- his “fuel” bill reportedly totaled $76.82! )
*Guinness World Records has it recorded as a 2022 Taycan. They also have it as 2:26:46 & 2:26:48. Other articles state 2021. Someone may want to check something…🤷🏻♀️
